The only thing this homemade macaroni gratin has in common with mac and cheese is, that they both are quick and easy to prepare. In our home this dish is a popular weekday dinner as it's perfect to make with leftover cooked pasta, which we often have. This time we happened to have sausages as well, but you can prepare it with ham, bacon, or just with pasta depending on what you like.

Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.

Boil the macaroni according to the Instructions on the box.
