A homemade recipe of the Bavarian cheese specialty that is served in the typical beer gardens. The recipe has many variations but this is the classical one. This cheese is perfect as a starter or in between two meals. It is served together with dark or white bread, radishes and onions.

Instructions:

Take out the butter from the fridge about 10 minutes before starting with the preparations.

Smash the butter with a fork so you have no lumps.

Mix the butter together with the cream cheese so it become a solid color.

Cut the camembert cheese in pieces and add it in the butter mixture. Mix it all together with a fork. The camembert cheese doesn´t need to be totally smashed, small bites is good to have in this cheese dip.

Chop half of the red onion and the chives and add it in the dip.

Add the Cumin, paprika powder and the salt in the dip and mix it well.

Pour some of the beer and stir, don´t use all of the beer feel to liquid.

Put the obatzda in the fridge for two to three hours before serving.
