This is the Greek sour cream/ yoghurt sauce with cucumber, olive oil and garlic. It is commonly eaten on bread, as a dip to vegetables, with gyros, grilled meat, or in a pita bread. Before it is time to serve it, sprinkle some olive oil on top, and garnish with olives and dill to make it look even nicer.

1 medium Cucumber

1 big Garlic clove

1 teaspoon Olive oil

Instructions:

Grate the cucumber small, then place the shreds in a fine mesh strainer and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

Sprinkle the salt on top of the cucumber, and let it drain for 20 minutes.

Squeeze out the last water from the cucumber.

Pour the sour cream in a bowl, add the cucumber and mix.

Press the garlic clove in the sour cream, and add salt, olive oil and the dill. Mix it all well together.
